Signs and Symptoms of Concussion and when to call 911

Signs:

• Appears Dazed or Confused
• Is confused about an assignment
• Forgets plays
• Unsure of game, score or opponent
• Moves clumsily
• Answer Questions slowly
• Shows behavior or personality changes
• Can’t recall events prior or after injury
• Loss of consciousness

Symptoms

• Headache
• Nausea
• Balance Problems or Dizziness
• Double or fuzzy vision
• Sensitivity to light or noise
• Sluggish
• Mentally foggy
• Concentration or memory problems
• Confusion

When to call 911

• Decrease level of consciousness
• Drowsy, and inability to be awakened
• Difficulty getting attention
• Breathing irregularity
• Severe or worsening headache
• Weakness in an arm or a leg
• Persistent vomiting
• Seizures
